VisitSweden and Scandinavian Outdoor Group together with SAS is planning the next Outdoor Academy for the fall of 2008 in western Sweden.
The concept of Outdoor Academy is getting a spin off!
Inspired by the success of OAS, VisitSweden and SAS are now planning a Culinary Academy.
The purpose is to increase the awareness of Sweden as a country with great and exciting food. The first Culinary Academy will be in the south, in Skåne, where mainly journalists will be invited.
On behalf of all SOG members I would like to thank you for participating and hope you had a good trip back home.
Pls remember to share your pictures and keep in touch

The 2007 OAS around Abisko north of the Polar Circle in Sweden is over.
The blog is bursting with content from the event and we’ve all recovered from all the exciting activities.
We, the OAS crew, would like to thank you all for your participation, good adventurous spirits and your company. We hope that you now have a lot of good and positive experiences and memories from Sweden that will benefit you in your future business.
So again, thank you from Jenny Jonevret, Martin Kössler, Sofie Jugård, Tommy Sollén, Lena M. Larsson, Maria Johansson, Madelene Larneby, Elisabeth Nebout och Nanouk Sabel.
As hard as I tried I couldn’t be in all places at the same time. The photo gallery is already amazing but it could be even better
To provide a more complete picture of the 2007 OAS activities it would be great to also have photos from the following activities:
- Advanced ski touring
- Telemark
- Advanced alpine skiing
- Journalist activities during day 5 and 6
- Anything from day 6
So if you have any photos matching the above activities and you’re willing to share them please email them to me at
tommy.oas@visitsweden.com
A few of you have already emailed us photos, thank you! They will be uploaded shortly.
This blog will be a virtual meeting place where both new and old “Outdoor ambassadors of Sweden” will be able to meet and establish new contacts as well as sharing their experiences.
During the next Outdoor Academy of Sweden, which is taking place around Kiruna north of the polar circle in Sweden between 18th and 23rd of April, you will be able to read daily reports including photos and video clips.
If you have stories or pictures that you would like to share, please feel free to email us! oas@visitsweden.com
